Our Story

As a parent, I have walked alongside my child—now an adult—who carries the scars of childhood sexual abuse. The pain does not disappear when childhood ends. It changes shape, it echoes, and it follows survivors into adulthood.

The betrayal was not at the hands of a stranger, but from within our family. Someone who was supposed to love and protect. That truth is heavy, and yet it must be spoken. Because silence protects abusers, and silence isolates the survivors.

I created Fighting For Voices to break that silence. To say out loud what too many families bury in shame. To remind survivors that they are not defined by what was done to them.

Healing is not linear. Some days are heavy, some days bring light. And every step forward matters. And no survivor, and no parent, should ever feel they are walking this road alone.
